(St. Leon, Ind.) – Boys and girls basketball standouts from across Eagle Country have been named all-district selections by the Hoosier Basketball Coaches Association.
Created in 1988, the HBCA recognizes players from southern Indiana, dividing the region up into four districts. Each year HBCA member coaches vote on senior players in their district to determine who is named to the All-District team and as Regional All-Stars.
Appearing on the HBCA District 3 Boys All-District Team were East Central’s Tyler Koelling (20.9 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.9 apg), Milan’s Zac Minnich (12.7 ppg, 4.4 rebpg, 2.6 apg, 1.5 stlpg), and Batesville’s Isaac Barker (14.0 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 3.0 apg, 1.8 stlpg).
The District 3 Girls All-District Team included East Central guard Hayley Tippitt (7.7 ppg, 4.8 apg, 3.7 rpg, 2.0 stlpg), Batesville’s Bailey Rohlfing (14.4 ppg, 15,0 rpg, 1.2 apg, 1.6 spg, 1.0 blkpg), Jac-Cen-Del’s Lilly Simon (17.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 6.2 apg, 1.8 stlpg), and South Ripley’s Kiley Sparks.
