GIRLS SOCCER

Class 3A Sectional 12 at Mt. Vernon (Fortville) - semifinals

East Central 11, Shelbyville 0 - Ema Hinton led the Lady Trojans with a hat trick. Julia Tiemann and Brooke Carpenter added two goals each. Other goal scorers for EC were Alexia McKrancy, Brynne Whitt, Allie Davis and Lauren deLong. 

Mt. Vernon (Fortville) 7, Greenfield-Central 1 

* Sectional Championship: East Central vs. Mt. Vernon (Fortville), Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

 

Class 2A Sectional 28 at Lawrenceburg - semifinals

Lawrenceburg 9, Rushville 0 - Molly Dunn and Hailey Knippenberg had two goals each. Ryleigh Offutt, Chloe Meyer, Lucy Thornton, Kalana Kent and Emma Dunn also found the back of the net for the Lady Tigers.

South Dearborn 3, Franklin County 0 - Goals were scored by Abby Hensley and Erin Huber (2). Assists by Hailey Huber and Katelyn McCreary.

Class 2A Sectional 27 at Greensburg - semifinals

Batesville 0, Indianapolis Cathedral 0 - Batesville advances to the sectional championship on penalty kicks (5-4).

Class 1A Sectional 45 at Rising Sun - semifinals

Oldenburg Academy 5, Milan 0 

Switzerland County 2, Rising Sun 1

* Sectional Championship: Oldenburg Academy vs. Switzerland County, Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

 

VOLLEYBALL

Lawrenceburg 3, Batesville 0 - (30-28, 25-19, 25-16) - Lady Tigers sophomore standout Cora Taylor 19 kills,15 assists and nine digs. Juliana Kemper had 10 kills, and Bay Hinkle added 23 assists. Lawrenceburg also got strong performances from Emma Sanford, Samantha Heiert and Lizzie Redar. 

South Ripley 3, Shawe Memorial 0 - (25-23, 25-11, 25-20)

South Decatur 3, Jac-Cen-Del 2 - (25-19, 26-24, 22-25, 23-25, 15-12)

Greensburg 3, East Central 0 - (25-22, 25-20, 28-26)
