Nine Earn Weekly Honors from ORVC

(Milan, Ind.) - Nine student-athletes have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference.

The ORVC Report for September 16-21 was released on Tuesday, which included co-player of the week recipients in three sports.

Milan’s Emma Voss and Southwestern’s Hillarie Buchanan are the ORVC Volleyball Players of the Week. Voss tallied 45 digs, 32 kills, nine aces, and three blocks in six matches. Buchanan earned weekly honors by recording her 1,000th career assist and 45 digs in two matches.

The ORVC Girls Soccer Players of the Week are Emma Parsons (Switzerland County) and Justice Kuntz (Shawe Memorial). Parsons scored six goals and assisted three times in three matches, while Kuntz recorded a goal and eight assists in two matches.

The Shawe Memorial duo of Gus Grote and Bartosz Rychlicki earned Boys Soccer Co-Player of the Week honors by combining for 10 goals in two matches.

The ORVC Girls Golfer of the Week is Payton Stow. The Lady Pacers star carded a 45 and 46 in separate rounds at Butler Falls, a 47 at Sunrise, and a 99 at the sectional match at Sunrise.

Milan’s Gabe Riehle and Southwestern’s Savannah Nussbaum are the ORVC Runners of the Week.
