(Oldenburg, Ind.) - Oldenburg Academy swim star Nash King is among an elite group that has been selected to train at the U.S. Olympic Training Center this winter.

King, 15, of Batesville, has been selected to attend the USA Swimming National Select Camp in Colorado Springs January 9-12.

He is one of 52 male swimmers in his age group (15-16) invited to attend. King punched his ticket to the training event by recording the second-highest individual IMX Power Point score.

“We are excited to welcome the 2024 National Select Camp athletes and their coaches to the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center this January,” USA Swimming Managing Director of Sport Development Joel Shinofield said. “As these athletes set their sights on LA 2028, we look forward to seeing them follow in the footsteps of Olympians who attended this camp.”

When King isn't swimming for Oldenburg Academy, he is in the pool as a part of the Cincinnati Marlins. He also swims for the Batesville Swim Team during the summer.
