OrthoCincy Welcomes New Doctors and Opens New Location

OrthoCincy consists of over 50 physicians and 40 advanced practitioners.

EDGEWOOD, KY - OrthoCincy Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is proud to announce the arrival of three new doctors to the OrthoCincy team of physicians to better serve our growing patient population and athletes of all ages.

Jeffrey Chapek, MD, specializes in adult hip and knee reconstruction. He is an Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine graduate, completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and completed his fellowship at the University of Kentucky in adult reconstruction.

Dr. Chapek interests include degenerative joint disease, adult hip dysplasia, post-traumatic osteoarthritis and trochanter bursitis. He is at the forefront of continuously evolving techniques and innovations to make these replacement surgeries uniquely beneficial to patients who suffer from arthritis and other painful hip and knee conditions.

Adam Schumaier, MD, specializes in hand, wrist and elbow surgery with a special interest in fracture care and sports medicine. He is a Wayne State University School of Medicine graduate, and he completed his residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and his fellowship at the University of Connecticut in hand and upper extremity surgery.

As an active adult and former sideline physician, Dr. Schumaier understands firsthand the treatment options required for injuries that occur in competitive and performance athletes. He treats a wide range of hand, wrist and elbow issues ranging from arthritis, fractures, neuropathy, nerve and tendon injuries as well as tendonitis. His advanced yet minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques allow patients to recover faster and return to their everyday activities more quickly.

Ayesha Yahya, DO, is a board-eligible orthopaedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Yahya is an Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine graduate. She completed her surgical residency at the WellSpan York Hospital and completed two foot and ankle fellowships -- one at Massachusetts General Hospital and another at AO Trauma in Dresden, Germany.

Dr. Yahya’s interests include fracture care, deformity reconstruction, ankle replacement, ankle instability and Achilles tendon disorders. She is excited to offer her expertise to improve patients' lives through surgical intervention while also providing immediate relief in the clinical setting.

Dr. Yahya is seeing patients within Premier Healthcare’s Atrium Medical Center – 200 Medical Center Dr., Middletown, Ohio, 45005. This is OrthoCincy’s 13th and newest Cincinnati, Tri-State location. Dr. Yahya also sees patients at OrthoCincy West Chester, Ohio.

The opening of OrthoCincy’s new Middletown, Ohio, office represents a continued commitment to delivering superior orthopaedic and sports medicine services to the community. In addition to foot and ankle services, the office will offer other specialty orthopaedics care, including hand, wrist elbow, shoulder, knee and hip.
