ORVC Announces 2024-25 Girls Basketball All-Conference Team

Shawe Memorial won the conference this year with a 6-0 record.

(Madison, Ind.) - Fifteen players have been named to the 2024-25 Ohio River Valley Conference Girls Basketball All-Conference Team. 

It was a highly competitive season in the ORVC with Shawe Memorial taking the conference title with a perfect 6-0 record in conference play. South Ripley finished second (5-1) and Southwestern (Hanover) placed third (4-2). 

The Lady Hilltoppers had three all-conference selections in Audrey Barron, Allison Knoebel, and Ava Turner. 

Barron led the conference in scoring at 23.6 points per game, followed by Knoebel at 15.6 PPG. Turner ranked top 10 in the conference in scoring at 10.3 PPG. 

South Ripley is represented on the all-conference team by Lexi Franklin, Kaiya Rinear, and Claire Samples. 

  • Rinear: 13.7 PPG (3rd in ORVC). 8.0 RPG (1st in ORVC)
  • Samples: 13.0 PPG (6th in ORVC), 6.2 RPG (T-6th in ORVC), 70 assists (4th in ORVC)
  • Franklin: 7.8 PPG, 6.2 RPG (T-6th in ORVC)

Switzerland County and Rising Sun each had two all-conference selections, while Jac-Cen-Del and Milan had one each. 

  • Addie Kelso (Switz. Co.) - 12.7 PPG, 3.7 RPG
  • Lauren Smith (Switz. Co.) - 7.5 PPG, 5.0 RPG
  • Jaylen Peelman (Rising Sun) - 11.1 PPG, 4.8 RPG
  • Carrigan Friend (Rising Sun) - 9.7 PPG, 4.1 RPG
  • Autumn Rohrig (Milan) - 7.7 PPG, 4.3 RPG
  • Kelsey Borgman (Jac-Cen-Del) - 13.3 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 2.4 APG
